ART

Our open-plan space, shaped by full-height windows and a steady wash of natural light, offers a calm and considered setting for a changing programme of art. The gallery-style walls form part of the everyday experience here—works encountered over coffee, in conversation, or in passing—each piece settling naturally into the rhythm of the space.

Rooted in a neighbourhood first shaped in the 1930s to serve a working community, the café carries forward a quiet tradition of shared, everyday life. The impulse to gather, to linger, and to connect continues much as it always has.

Every six weeks or so, we welcome a new artist, marking the transition with a lively vernissage. These moments invite a closer encounter with the work, where conversation moves easily between table and wall—linking artist, audience, and the life of the café itself. We ask each artist the further the experience by planning a workshop, artist talk or event of their choice.

At its core, this is a neighbourhood space with a creative pulse: where art and food sit in quiet dialogue, and where conversation—between people, disciplines, culture / histories—continues to shape the experience of being here.

We invite you to explore our artists, their work, and their stories. If you’re a creative interested in exhibiting with us or hosting a workshop or event, we’d be delighted to hear from you—please get in touch here.

Premiere Vernissage Thursday, 9th April 2026 at 18.00-20.00.

Vernissage

With our space now opening to a considered selection of creative endeavours, a new layer is added to Wildflower—one that sits naturally alongside the everyday rhythm of coffee, food, and time spent here. Each event will bring a distinct perspective, quietly reshaping the space as it evolves.

This is the beginning of something continuous: a living, changing presence of art/crafts, held within the life of the café.
